Before Farrah Abraham exploded into the spotlight on MTV’s Teen Mom, she was a small-town girl from Corpus Christi, Texas. She had an enviable physique and a doll-like appearance that caught the eye of people in her town. Her mother recalled that strangers would stop on the street to look at her and comment that she “looked like an angel”.
When she was a teenager, Farrah never had the desire to become a Hollywood star. But when she won a beauty contest at school and was contacted by a publicist in California, it all came together. She moved to California, booked jobs, and never went back to college.
But her charmed life on the surface may have had darker sides. Amid legal disputes and blacklisting from major Hollywood productions, Farrah’s career was impacted. She had a difficult relationship with her long-time boyfriend, Ryan O’Neal, and argued so hard that their son once said he “wondered how his parents survived without their own death.”
While her charmed life on the surface may seem like something from a fairy tale, Farrah’s dark chapters revealed some serious struggles. She suffered from depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic stress and anxiety.

She even struggled with self-image and felt insecure about her body. According to the Los Angeles Times, Farrah “underwent a series of cosmetic enhancements” including lip injections, chin implants, a breast augmentation, and rhinoplasty.
The former Teen Mom OG star has a history of admitting to plastic surgeries and sharing pictures of herself during her procedures. In her book, Dream Twenties: Self Guided Self Help Memoir, she described how she “had a nose job, chin implant, and boob job.”
As she’s gotten older, Farrah has undergone more cosmetic surgeries to enhance her looks. She’s also undergone lip filler and Botox, as well as a thread facelift.
A recent Instagram post of hers prompted new plastic surgery rumors from fans. The photo shows the former reality TV star looking drastically different from her previous photos on her phone’s camera roll.
In the picture, Farrah looks much different from her younger self cradling her daughter Sophia. She has long since lost weight and her features are a lot more mature than they were back then.
She’s also got a larger nose and smaller lips, which Dr. Youn believes are due to the “high doses of fillers” she has received in the past.
But her plastic surgeries have cost her a considerable amount of money. She’s reportedly spent at least $133K to look the way she does today, according to The Sun.
Before her fame, Farrah was a regular girl who liked to go outside and play sports. She enjoyed tennis, swimming, horseback riding, and fishing. But when she became an aspiring actress, she started wearing makeup more often.
She had a particular favourite shade of lipstick. It was a rosy-nude, topped with clear gloss. She’d wear it almost every day.
She also wore her hair wavy and layered, and her favourite style was the “Farrah flip.” The trick to replicate her voluminous locks is a good haircut. It’s important to get the length right – short around the face and progressively longer, wispier layers throughout the rest of the hair.
